Welcome to Villa Julia
Beautiful, landscaped gardens with swimming pool (heated on request), an outside traditional Portuguese barbecue, and sun loungers for pool side relaxing.
There is a large, bright and airy sitting room with a log fire (or heating) for the winter, and air conditioning for the summer. Patio doors lead to the outside terrace, with a table for al fresco dining. The dining room, with seating for eight people, also has patio doors leading to the outside terrace and swimming pool.
There are three outside dining areas all with quality furniture seating eight people, and all are covered by shade sails to keep out the harmful rays of the sun whilst still allowing you to tan below them.
The three bedrooms upstairs are all well decorated with new bedding and are generous in size.

Accommodation
Villa Julia is our second home and is furnished as you would expect a high value villa to be. The entire property has been completely refurbished and refreshed over the past few years and the furnishings and fixtures are of luxury standard. There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms (three ensuite). There is a newly designed and fitted kitchen with granite worktops, an American style fridge freezer as well as an additional integrated fridge, integrated wine racks, a microwave and an oven for easy self-catering at home. A modern dishwasher machine completes the set-up. All appliances are of excellent quality.
Bedroom 1, which used to be the old master suite has sliding doors leading onto the wrap around terrace with good quality furniture on which to lounge and take in the sea views. There is a 5-foot bed, fitted wardrobes and a safe in this room. The ensuite shower room is large and airy and like all the bathrooms in the villa has been recently renovated.
Bedroom 2 looks over the pool and has a door leading onto a large upstairs terrace where there are comfortable loungers as well as an eight seater table & chairs (under a shade sale). The bed is normally made up as a large 6ft (super king), or can be split into two 3ft singles. This bedroom has wardrobes, complete with a safe, and its own ensuite toilet and shower room.
Bedroom 3 is again well appointed, with views over the mountains, and has been recently redecorated. The bed is normally made up as a large 6ft (super king), or can be split into two 3ft singles. It is situated next to the large family bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet and vanity unit.
Bedroom 4, the owner's suite, can be rented separately at an additional cost. This bedroom is on the ground floor, accessed via a small hall through a door from the dining area. This is a very spacious room with a 6ft bed, sitting area and sliding doors leading to the pool terrace. The bathroom boasts a spacious corner bath, large shower, and fitted double-basin vanity unit. There is also a safe in the bedroom, and ample wardrobes.
All bedrooms and the living room have efficient air conditioning systems, which can also be used as heating systems in the cooler months. There is high-speed 4G wifi at the Villa, and the TV is an internet-based system from which guests can access a range of channels and Netflix.
The pool has been recently refurbished and has an electric pool cover, optional heating (at additional cost) and optional underwater lighting. There is a handrail into the pool for ease of access.
There are a number of excellent restaurants within a short drive of the villa. For those wishing to travel to the nearby town of Lagos a large number of restaurants serving international cuisine as well as traditional good value Portuguese food can be found. You will find a list of our preferred restaurants in the villa. Should you need one, we can recommend a friendly local taxi driver.
