Welcome to Villa Julia

Beautiful landscaped gardens with swimming pool (heated on request), an outside traditional Portuguese barbecue with a gas poker for easy lighting and sun loungers for pool side relaxing. 

There is a large airy sitting room with log fires for the winter and air conditioning for the summer. This room has patio doors leading to the outside terrace. The dining room with seating for eight people also has patio doors leading to the outside terrace and swimming pool.

There are three outside dining areas all with quality furniture seating eight people and all are covered by shade sails to keep out the harmful rays of the sun whilst still allowing you to tan below them.

The three bedrooms upstairs are all well decorated with new bedding and are generous in size.

The accommodation

Villa Julia is our second home and is furnished as you would expect a high value villa to be. The entire property has been completely refurbished over the past four years and the furnishings and fixtures are of luxury standard. There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms (three ensuite). There is a newly designed and fitted kitchen with granite worktops, an American style fridge freezer as well as an additional integrated fridge, integrated wine racks, a microwave and an oven for easy catering should you wish to cook. A modern dishwasher machine completes the set-up.

Bedroom 1 which used to be the old master suite has sliding doors leading onto the wrap around terrace with good quality furniture on which to lounge and take in the sea views. There is a 5 foot bed, fitted wardrobes and a safe in this room. The ensuite shower room is large and airy and like all the bathrooms in the villa has been recently renovated.

Bedroom 2 looks over the pool and has a door leading to a large upstairs terrace where there are comfortable loungers as well as an eight seater table & chairs. The bed is normally made up as a large 6 foot double or can be split into two 3 foot singles. This bedroom has a safe and its own ensuite toilet and shower room.

Bedroom 3 is again well furnished and newly decorated and has two 3 foot single beds. It is situated next to the large family bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet and vanity unit.

Bedroom 4, the owner’s suite, can be rented separately at an additional cost. This bedroom is on the ground floor with doors leading off the dining room. This is a very spacious room with a 6 foot bed, sitting area and sliding doors leading to the terrace and pool. The bathroom has a corner bath, separate shower, fitted double basin vanity unit. There is also a safe in the bedroom.

All bedrooms and the living room have efficient air conditioning systems, which can also be used as heating systems in the cooler months. There is high-speed 4G wifi at the Villa, and the TV is an internet-based system which includes Sky Sports and movie channels.

The pool has been recently refurbished and has an electric pool cover, heating and optional underwater lighting.  There is a handrail into the pool for ease of entry and exit.

The property is entered through electric gates. The gardening and pool cleaning is carried out weekly. Maid service is available three times a week. Should you need one, we can recommend a friendly and reliable taxi driver. There are a number of wonderful restaurants within easy reach of the villa. For those wishing to travel to the nearby town of Lagos a large number of restaurants serving international cuisine as well as traditional good value Portuguese food can be found. You will find a list of our preferred restaurants in the villa.
